Matt McCelran, a 6-foot-6, 260 pound offensive lineman from Norcross, Georgia visited North Carolina this past weekend and he had nothing but great things to say about Chapel Hill.
"North Carolina was very nice." McClernan said. "The business school is very highly rated and that's going to be my major. The players were great, the coaching staff was very nice and the facilities are incredible."
McClernan has already visited Northwestern and next weekend he'll be headed to Stanford with a visit with the Cardinal and new head coach, Buddy Teevans.
"I was admitted today by Stanford and I was offered a scholarship today as well. I'm excited about my visit. All the schools I'm looking at have great educations but a Stanford degree is top notch."
McClernan said he will take one more visit before making his verbal commitment.
"I'm definitely going to visit Clemson on January 25th. Everyone is on equal ground right now. Northwestern, North Carolina, Stanford and Clemson are all even right now. I'm going to narrow my choices after my Clemson visit."
