Friday Recruiting Updates

All the latest on Kelvin Grant, Chansi Stuckey, Randy Jackson, and others. Signing day is right around the corner and rumors are swirling around a large number of big time prospects.

Kelvin Grant met with Rick Stockstill on Wednesday evening and reportedly the meeting went well. However, Kelvin is still unsure as to which school holds the lead for his services at the current time.

Thursday night Kelvin met with Lou and Skip Holtz

"I'm still very confused. All three schools have alot to offer. I am hoping to have a decision the week following my Georgia visit.

Grant will be in Columbia this weekend and Athens the following weekend.

Chansi Stuckey will still take visits to Auburn (Jan 18), Tennessee (Jan 25), and Florida State (Feb 1) although Clemson is still his top choice.

Unless something completely unexpected happens with Stuckey, he should commit to the Tigers sometime around the first of the month.

Tommy Bowden and Brad Scott were scheduled to have an in-home visit with Randy Jackson's parents yesterday evening at 8:00. We have not yet received information as to what happened during that meeting.

Also, it has been reported that Tymere Zimmerman is now firm with his commitment to Clemson University. He was being recruited by West Virginia and North Carolina, in addition to several other schools.

The latest with Zimmerman and Stuckey indicate that both players may be moved to the secondary once they arrive on campus.

Zimm hauled in over 50 passes for almost 1,200 yards last season.

In other news, DT Ramon McCollough will not be visiting Clemson, "I've cancelled everything with Clemson. It just didn't seem to be working out. I'm not going anywhere this weekend. I'm going to try to take a mid-week visit to Virginia, then go to Miami on the 25th."

Also, Defensive end Gains Adams has given his verbal commitment to the Tar Heels, ending speculation that he could come to Clemson. Adams attended Fork Union Prep in Virginia and is originally from Greenwood, SC. Top Stories
