Wednesday Recruiting Tidbits

Updates on several athletes still thinking about where they'll spend their college careers. Signing day is right around the corner, and things are starting to fall into place.

OL Chris White, out of Chester, SC, will decide as early as Wednesday evening on his school of choice. Chris decided to cancel two in-home visits from Rick Stockstill and Skip Holtz this week because he has had all of his questions answered about both schools already.

As it stands now, White is sitting directly on the fence and he could go either way. Interestingly enough, he almost committed to the Tigers at the end of last summer, so you have to believe he is giving Clemson serious consideration right now.

My personal opinion here is that we are in good shape, but we'll know for sure after he finishes discussing his options with his high school coach and his family.

Expect an announcement as early as Wedneday night, but more likely Thursday morning/afternoon.

The latest information that we have received on Kelvin Grant indicate that he wants to stay as close to Camden as possible. This obviously will put the Gamecocks into his top spot, and it appears that he will likely commit there soon.

"I had a really good visit to South Carolina," Grant said. "The campus was way better than I thought, and they have great fans."

Grant has one trip left to Georgia next weekend. He has already visited Clemson. "I have been to Clemson a lot of times and I know what they have to offer." Grant says he will make a final decision between the three schools after his Georgia visit.

DE Gaines Adams (6'6, 245) has also seriously been considering releasing his commitment to the Tar Heels and coming over to Clemson. Adams is a standout TE/DE out of Fork Union Military. He was visited by a member of the Clemson coaching staff (Ron West) at school on Tuesday.

In other news, Southview OL Daniel Inman committed to the Georgia Bulldogs over Clemson, N.C. State, East Carolina, and Virginia. Inman is a massive prospect at 6'7, 290 lbs. He was scheduled to visit the Tigers officially on February 1, however it is unlikely that he will keep that commitment. Top Stories
