The 6-foot-5, 250-pound defensive lineman will be heading to Clemson in the morning with his father. "Yes sir I am heading down tomorrow. I am very excited. My father is flying down with me. I should be there probably around 12," Gabriel told

When asked what he is looking forward to, Gabriel responded, "I'm ready to start classes. I can't wait to get down there and get ready for practices."

The talented defensive lineman has been working hard over the holidays to make sure he is in the best shape possible.

"I've been working out a lot," said Gabriel. "I have been working out with some of my high school players and running every day down to my aunt's house. It's about two and a half miles. I've been jumping rope and lifting in my room. I'm trying to do everything I can to get prepared."

Gabriel has lost some pounds with all the workouts over the past few weeks. "I've been eating a lot more because I've been losing weight because I've been running so much. Right now I am down to about 250."

"My family is very excited. They stuck with me while I was at Fork Union. It's a huge thing. Now I'm going to college and it's a big accomplishment."
