6-0, 205 pound running back prospect James Davis came away very impressed with the Crimson Tide this weekend during his visit in Tuscaloosa.

"It was by far the best visit I've had. The whole thing was great. We got to put on the jerseys. We went to the basketball game against LSU and everyone had posters up. It was like we were already players there. We signed autographs," Davis told

How would Davis rate the visit on a scale of one to ten? "It's a ten," stated the prize recruit.

When asked if he made a commitment during the visit Davis responded, No, I didn't make a commitment. It's going to be tough to beat that visit though."

Davis was ready to go on record with a leader after the visit. "I would have to put them at the top now. Alabama is now my leader." Coach Shula left a good impression on Davis.

"It went well. I met with Coach Shula. He told me I have a good chance to play early. Their starting running back has an injury and probably won't be able to play in the spring. A freshman will get a chance to come in and play early.

"It's not too far from home. It's only about a two and a half hour drive."

The Tigers will have a hard time beating the visit when Davis travels to Clemson next weekend. "I am going to take the visit next weekend," stated Davis.
