All Even Again for James Davis?

The Clemson Tigers are one of three leaders for four-star running back James Davis. Can the Tigers close the deal during this weekends official visit? has the latest in this recruiting update.<BR>

The 6-0, 205 pound prospect will take his final official visit this weekend when he travels to Clemson. "I'm heading up tomorrow. I will be there by 4 o'clock. I'm coming up with Ramon McElrathbey," Davis told Thursday night.

After visiting Alabama last weekend Davis had named the Tide as his new leader. Does Alabama still lead for the Douglass High standout just four days later? "I think everybody is about the same. Clemson, Alabama and Virginia Tech are all even," said Davis.

What does he like about each school?

Alabama: I like Alabama because they run the offense I like. I would like to play in their offense. I also wouldn't mind playing 3 hours from home.

Virginia Tech: I really like Coach Beamer. I also like their offensive coordinator. They also run the style offense I like. It was a great place when I took the official visit.

Clemson: I really like the running back coach their Coach Burns. They gave me my first official offer.

So could the Tigers close the deal this weekend? "They could pull something this week. I really like Clemson."

The four-star prospect plans to make his decision sometime within the next seven days. "I will make by decision next week. It will probably be done by Wednesday or Thursday," added Davis.
