Northwestern standout Jamie Robinson is back from his official visit at Clemson. How did things go, and does he have a leader between Clemson, FSU, and Virginia Tech?
"I had a lot of fun," Robinson told CUTigers.com Sunday morning. "I would probably give it about an eight on a scale of one to 10. FSU was a good visit, Clemson was a good visit. They are both different but they are both good in their own way.
"It was like what I expected. Lots of football players hanging out together.
Robinson also met with the Tigers' new defensive coorindator, Vic Koenning this weekend.
"That went real well talking to him. The defensive coordinator explained to me some of the coverages that they will be running this year," said Robinson. "I could see myself fitting in there."
When asked about the highlight of the weekend, Robinson said, "That would be when we did the stadium tour. I got to rub the rock and run down the hill. That was great. "
Tye Hill was Robinson's host for the weekend, and it appears the two got along really well.
"We did. We had a good time. He is real down to Earth. He told me he would me my mentor if I came there. I also hung out with Mike Davis, Rendrick Taylor."
When asked if he had a clear leader after his visit, Robinson said that things are still pretty much even.
"I didn't make a commitment or anything. I will wait until after my Virginia Tech visit. They are all still pretty much even in my mind- Clemson, FSU, and Virginia Tech."
Robinson is scheduled to visit Virginia Tech officially later this month. We will continued to keep you updated on one of Clemson's top remaining prospects, right up through signing day.
