One of the late sleepers to emerge in the state of South Carolina this winter has been Jarriel King.

King started gaining publicity during the week leading up to the North-South All-Star game in Myrtle Beach in early December, after several schools had the opportunity to evaluate him in person.

This weekend, King made the first of several scheduled official visits when he traveled up to Columbia to see the Gamecocks.

"It was a very nice visit, it was pretty much what I expected. I liked what I saw," King told CUTigers.com Sunday morning.

"They are pretty much holding a scholarship for me, but I didn't commit yet. They are supposed to come by my house on Wednesday and I will probably commit then."

King said that in his eyes, his recruiting may be over.

"I think I'm pretty much done with everything. I don't think I'm going to Clemson on my visit, and I'm probably going to commit to South Carolina."

King finished his season with 86 tackles and 13 sacks. We will continue to keep you updated on Jarriel King, right up through signing day.
