Brad Scott Visits Ruffin

The Florida Gators are making a late push for Florida standout Quentez Ruffin, but Clemson coach Brad Scott visited with the talented lineman and his family Wednesday. has all the details in this recruiting update.

The 6-4, 290 pound prospect is getting a late push from one of the Florida Gators.

"Yeah Florida gave me an offer on Monday. They are trying to get me to come down for an official visit this weekend. I don't think I will be going. I am still solid with Clemson right now," Ruffin told Tuesday evening.

So will one of the Tigers' top verbal commitments visit the Gators this weekend? "I can tell you this. I am coming to Clemson," Ruffin stated.

Many recruiting enthusiasts will remember that Quentez was very high on the Gators earlier in the recruiting process.

"Yeah, I really liked Florida a lot. That was the place I thought I might end up before I committed to Clemson. But that is in the past. I am going to go where I've been wanted since day one."

"Florida recruited me, but they haven't been there like Clemson has. I'm not going to turn my back on Clemson to go chase a dream."

The Leon High standout also received a visit from Clemson coach Brad Scott today.

"Coach Scott came by school and then he came over to meet my other grandparents that couldn't make the visit this weekend. He met with my grandparents, my mom and dad. I tried to include all of them."

"That went over really well I thought."
