RB Mike Davis
5-10, 210, 4.5
Columbia High School
Columbia, South Carolina
The 5-10, 210 pound prospect was close to committing to Clemson during his official visit according to several other prospects. Some players, including new Tiger commitment James Davis, actually thought that Mike had pulled the trigger on a commitment.
As it turns out, Davis did not commit, and he remains one of the top prospects on the Tigers' 2005 recruiting board.
The Shrine Bowl standout will get a visit from the Clemson coaching staff later this week. "Coach Scott and Coach Bowden are coming to see me on Thursday," Davis told CUTigers.com.
Will Davis be ready to make a commitment during the visit? "I don't plan to make a commitment then. really don't know when I'm going to do it," stated Davis.
When asked if Clemson is the leader, Davis responded, "Clemson is still in there with Kentucky, South Carolina and Maryland. I wouldn't call anybody the leader."
We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding running back from South Carolina, right up through signing day 2005.
