Prince Ave Prep
Pickens, South Carolina

6-foot-1, 235 pound linebacker prospect James Simmon will take an official visit to Clemson this weekend. "Yes, sir I am coming up tomorrow. I am coming with my mother," Simmons told CUTigers.com Thursday afternoon.

The talented athlete, who runs a 4.6 forty, had a very impressive season for Prince Avenue Prep. "I had 120 tackles, 30 tackles for loss and 10 sacks. I also had 16 touchdowns as a fullback."

The Tigers have not offered the star linebacker yet, but they will certainly like what they will hear if they do. "They haven't offered yet. I think they will offer this weekend, but I'm not sure. If they do offer I will commit on the spot," said Simmons.

When asked if he will be ready to qualify to enroll in the fall, Simmons responded, "Yes, I will qualify. I am at Prince Avenue Prep now. I would be ready to enroll this fall."

What are the strengths of the Prince Avenue standout? "I would say my speed and my field vision. I also like to hit."

Simmons is one of two prospects expected to make an official visit to Tiger Town this weekend. Florida LB Eugene Hayes, the No. 2 ranked linebacker in the country by Scout.com, is other one.

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding linebacker from South Carolina, right up through signing day.
