One of the Tigers' top linebacker targets has emerged from his official visit at Clemson with a new leader.

"Clemson is my leader," Hayes told Monday afternoon. "My visit was great. I got to see the town and everything. I met with the defensive coordinator, Coach K, and that went really well.

"I'm no longer committed to Tennessee," Hayes added.

When asked who his currently leader was, Hayes responded, "Clemson is my leader and I'm going to make my decision hopefully by the end of the week."

When asked what he liked about his talks with the Tigers' coaching staff this weekend, Hayes said, "The depth chart. I know I could come in there and play and early, and that's important to me. They really stressed that to me."

"Plus the defensive coordinator has coached two of my old teammates before, so I got a lot of scoop from them too. I know a lot about him."

Hayes also told that his exit meeting with Tommy Bowden went really well.

"I had a nice long talk with Coach Bowden," said the Florida native. "He didn't try to push me for a commitment or anything. So right now, I'm just waiting to talk things over with my family and everything, and I'm hoping to have a decision by the end of the week."

Hayes also added that he is not sure about his final official visit, one that was supposed to take him to Florida State this weekend.

"Right now, I'm not sure I'm going to take that visit or not, I'll decide by the end of the week, probably by Thursday. I know that I will probably have in-home visits from Clemson and Tennessee on Friday."
