Chancellor Brothers: One or None?

The Clemson coaching staff may have a big decision to make on Friday when they travel to Miami to meet with the Chancellor brothers. CUTigers.com has the details in this recruiting update.

Head Coach Tommy Bowden had originally planned to visit the Chancellor brothers today. But according to Demerick Chancellor, it didn't happen. "He was suppose to come today, but he didn't come because my mom was not available. They will come down Friday," Demerick told CUTigers.com.

It appears that Clemson staff may have to take both Chancellor brothers in order to keep Demerick's commitment. "We are definitely going to the same school. They already have me. Now they are trying to get him bad."

The 6-1, 185 pound speedster did get a visit today. "I had a visit from Coach Laing from South Florida. It was okay. He asked me if they are still in the picture. They are number two right now behind Clemson," said Demerick.

When asked how firm his commitment is to Clemson, Demerick responded, "It's still there."

"I'm doing everything on Friday. After the coach leaves I will sit down with my mom, my step dad, and Chris."

What are the chances that Demerick will sign with Clemson next week? "I would say it's about 85 percent."

What could change his mind at this point? "It depends how Friday goes. I want to see what Chris is thinking. We are definitely going to the same school."

Chancellor will not visit Miami on Saturday. "I have a very important family thing to do this Saturday. I need to talk to them. They are going to come by the school tomorrow or Thursday," said the Clemson commitment.

The final decision is just days away for the Florida standout. "I will definitely have a decision by Friday night or Saturday. That's my goal righ tnow."

The Clemson coaching staff will be the last to visit Chancellor. We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding athlete from Florida, right up through signing day.
