Humphries Back from Clemson

The 6-foot-3, 290 pound prospect made the short trip to Clemson this weekend for is first and only official visit. "It went great. Nathan Bennett was my host. He showed me around. They fed me great. I had a real good time. Nathan showed be how everything goes," Humphries told

How did the talented lineman rate the visit on a scale of one to 10? "I would probably give it a nine," said Humphries.

Humphries spent a good bit of time with his Shrine Bowl teammate Thomas Austin this weekend. "Yes, Chip Myrick was his host. Nathan and Chip took us around."

Barry's parents enjoyed the visit a great deal. "My parents loved it. It was great up there. It was their first time to see Vickery Hall. They were very impressed," added Humphries.

The Shrine Bowl standout spent a good enjoyed his time with the coaching staff. "They sat down and talked with us. They told us what it would be like. They talked to us about weight lifting and classes."

So what was the highlight of the weekend for Humphries? "I was just the social life up here. The weather didn't really impact that. It made us drive a little slower but we got where we wanted to go," said Humphries.

The future Tiger will now be doing everything he can this spring to prepare himself to practices in August. "I am going to start track on Monday. I'll be lifting as well. I'm going to try to go up to some of the practices this spring since it's so close. I want to start learning the new offense."
