Tigers Grab Add a Commitment

The Tigers will grab another commitment away from another school, this time its DE Gaines Adams out of Fork Union Military in Virginia. Adams, a one time verbal commitment to North Carolina is a huge defensive lineman that could see significant action early on.

As we first reported being a distinct possibility over a week ago, and then confirmed 2 days ago, Gaines Adams has changed his commitment from North Carolina to Clemson University.

Adams represents another gem on the defensive line that could come in and contribute immediately. He stands at 6'5, runs a 4.9 40, and weighs in at just over 240 lbs.

He committed to Ron West Tuesday afternoon. Adams is originally from Greenwood, SC.

In other news, it appears as though John Lovett will become the next defensive coordinator at Clemson University. Sources confirmed Tuesday that an announcement will come as soon as Tommy Bowden can hold a press conference.

We will more information on this situation as it continues to develop throughout the day.
