6-foot-4, 265-pound prospect Jevon Davis is already receiving interest from several top programs around the southeast. "I think Virginia Tech is close to offering me right now. I am also getting interest from Clemson, Duke and South Carolina," Davis told in a recent interview.

The talented athlete played both ways for Lakewood High last season. "I played offensive tackle and defensive end last year," stated Davis. "Right now, I run a 4.9. I would say quickness in one of my strengths," stated Davis.

The junior prospect plans to work hard during the next year and a half to get ready for the next level. "I want to get stronger. I also want to put on some more weight this year," said the Lakewood star.

On the recruiting front, Davis does not yet claim any favorites. "Yeah I don't have any favorites yet. I want to wait and see what my options are before I start worrying about it. It's still pretty early, so I think I have plenty of time to try and figure it all out."

The powerful lineman is looking for a college with a great weight program. "That's important to me. I will be looking for a good weight program and what they have to offer. I will also be looking at the offensive and defensive styles that they run," added Davis.
