LB Marcus Jackson
6-0, 190, 4.6
North Augusta High School
North Augusta, South Carolina
Marcus Jackson (6-1/190) is a standout Safety prospect from the state of South Carolina. He is a fierce hitter that craves contact, and he's just the type of player that scouts love. He names an early Top 5, and you can see him in action in this presentation by ScoutTV.
"My Top 5 is Clemson, South Carolina, Georgia, Auburn and Florida State. I don't have any offers just yet," Marcus Jackson said.
Why does Jackson prefer those 5 institutions?
Clemson: "Pretty much I went to one of their games and I liked the atmosphere and the coaches. Reggie Merriweather said it's a good place to be."
South Carolina: "I like the way they play and everything. I went to one of their games and it was really loud and I just enjoyed myself."
Georgia: "I went to like every home game there this year. It was crazy with just the atmosphere and the environment. I love the players over there."
Auburn: "They were a dominant team last year. I went to the Auburn and Georgia game and they had the Gameday crew there. It was just crazy."
Florida State: "I haven't been to a game there yet but I watch them on TV and when I think of FSU I always think of a good team."
What is he seeking in the school of his choice?
"I want a good education and a good football program. Good coaches that care about you and take care of you."
How did last season go for Marcus?
"I had 78 tackles, 8 sacks and 2 fumble recoveries for touchdowns."
Does the North Augustan have a preference for position at the next level?
"I really don't care where I play. I can play linebacker or safety. It doesn't matter."
What are his goals for the coming year?
"I want to get my grades up a little bit higher than they are and football wise I want to be more of a leader. We want to win a bunch more games this year and win our region. After that we'll see what happens."
