Kris Durham is an athletic big receiver from Calhoun, GA. He's already picked up his first offer and is looking for more. Who's on his list right now?
"I like Duke, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Auburn, Vanderbilt and Clemson. I have an offer from Duke," Kris Durham said.
Why does he favor each of those programs?
Duke: "I just left their junior day and they're really coming up as a football team. They're starting to recruit better."
Georgia: "I've been a Georgia fan my whole life. My dad ran track there and I know lots of people who went there and enjoyed it."
Georgia Tech: "My sister went to school there and I like the atmosphere at their games."
Alabama: "Just the tradition. You can't beat the tradition."
Auburn: "They seem to have a good program established and they're having a good run of it."
Vanderbilt: "I've talked to a lot of their coaches and I really enjoy them and their educational offerings."
Clemson: "My uncle went there and he talks about it. When I went there I fell in love with their campus and they have great fans."
What is most important to him in finding a school?
"Prestige of the school and how their program is coming along. Then education and how I would be used. Where I would be most happy. I want to major in the medical field or something in education."
Will he take his time with recruitment or make an early decision?
"I plan on taking a deep look into a few schools, but if I find the right place I'll commit."
What are Durham's goals for this year?
"I just want to help my team out and win. I want to have a chance to win a state championship and do whatever it takes to help us get there."
Any early camp plans thus far?
"I'm not real sure on camps so far. My dad has all of that information."
Kris stays busy on the athletic front all year long.
"I play basketball and run track too. I high jumped 6'6 and a quarter as a sophomore."
