Robinson led Clemson to an 84-72 victory over Maryland in the first round and an 88-81 loss to second-ranked and number-one seed North Carolina in the second round.
Robinson scored 24 points in the first round win over the
Terps as he connected on 8-13 field goals, including 6-8 from
three-point range. He also had three assists and just one turnover
in 26 minutes. Robinson scored 12 points on four three-point goals
in the final 4:33 of the first half to bring Clemson from a 31-24
deficit to a 39-36 halftime lead.
Robinson added 17 points in the second round game against
North Carolina, he hit 7-11 from the field, including 3-4 from
three-point range. He scored 15 in the first half of that game,
including eight in the last 2:29 of the first half.
For the two games, Robinson made 15-24 shots from the field,
including 9-12 on three-point shots. He had just four turnovers in
55 minutes and scored 41 points in those 55 minutes. He was
Clemson's top scorer in the two games combined, 18 more than any
Robinson is the first Clemson player to make an All-ACC
tournament team since the 1998 tournament when Terrell McIntyre was a
first-team selection. That Clemson team reached the semifinals of
the tournament. Robinson is just the third Clemson player in the
last 12 years to earn a selection to an All-ACC tournament team.
Greg Buckner was a first-team selection in 1996.
