Gaffney LB Visits Clemson

Julius Wilkerson, one of the top linebackers in South Carolina, spent Saturday enjoying the Junior Day activities at Clemson. CUTigers gives you the details on his visit in this recruiting update.

The 6-3, 200 pound prospect traveled to Clemson for Junior Day activities on Saturday. "I went up there with my step dad. We had a good time. It was my first visit to Clemson. It was a nice campus," Wilkerson told in a recent interview.

What did the Gaffney standout enjoy the most about the visit? "I got to talk to all of the coaches. I also got to see what king of drills they do."

"I got to talk to all of the defensive coaches and I also talked with Coach Bowden. They told me that they were glad to see me. They told me to keep my grades up."

Wilkerson was impressed by the video he saw of the WestZone project. "It's going to be great. It was hot."

The Tigers were the first to offer the talented defender. "Clemson is my only offer right now. I'm getting interest from South Carolina, Virginia Tech and North Carolina State."

When asked if he has a leader or any early favorites, Wilkerson responded, "No, not really."

The star linebacker plans to be back in Tiger Town next month. "I'm going to try to come down for the spring game," stated Wilkerson.

The camp plans are still unclear for the South Carolina standout. "I know I'm going to the Nike camp in Georgia. I'm not sure where else I will go."
