The 6-2, 175 pound prospect is receiving interest from several ACC and SEC schools. "I don't have any offers, but I do have a lot of schools showing a lot of interest. Clemson, South Carolina, North Carolina State, Wake Forest and Auburn are all showing interest," Gantt told CUTigers.com in a recent interview.

When asked who is recruiting him the hardest, Gantt responded, "Clemson is recruiting me the hardest. I am getting a lot of mail from Clemson. Coach Blackwell is my recruiting coach for Clemson."

The Heathwood Hall standout made the short trip to USC this weekend. "I went to Junior Day at South Carolina on Saturday. It went well. I enjoyed my time there. I got to watch spring practice and meet with the coaches. I got a card from the QB coach. I also got to talk to Coach Stockstill," said Gantt.

The talented quarterback had an outstanding junior season. "My accuracy has gotten better. My confidence and poise as a leader are my strengths. Next year I will work on my strength and my size. I plan to get stronger, bigger and faster so I can compete at the next level.

"Right now most teams are recruiting me as a quarterback. I want to play quarterback, but if I get an opportunity to plan any position I'm down for it."

The summer will be full of camps for the South Carolina standout. "I'm going to camp at all of the schools that are showing interest now," stated Gantt.

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding athlete from South Carolina, right up through signing day 2006.
