Upstate DB Claims Clemson Offer

Anderson (S.C.) T.L. Hanna cornerback Ameer Salahudin is beggining to become one of the hottest commodities in the recruiting world, and the big hitter who also plays running back in high school already holds four offers.

"I have offers from Clemson, Maryland, NC State, and Kentucky just offered me recently," said the 5-foot-10, 180 pounder. "Hopefully I get a lot more offers, so as far as me going somewhere my options are still open. It really doesn't matter because wherever I go, I have to do my thing on the field. It doesn't matter too much, but I do know I want to play in front of a big crowd though."

Salaudin is getting to see just how big the stadiums are in person as he already visited Clemson, South Carolina.

"Kentucky wants me to come up and see their spring game, so hopefully I will get to see that one. Auburn, I'm supposed to be going to their junior day, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, and there are a few more."

Time is on Salahudin's side as he wants to take as many visits as possible and wait to make a commitment until late in the recruiting process. He wants to take his time and learn from the former Hanna players that went through the process before him.

"I talk to Rafael (Little, former Hanna running back and Kentucky freshman) and Brent (Copeland, former Hanna quarterback) about the recruiting process and they help me out a lot. Me and Ben discuss a few things like if we like a school and how the coaches are, and things like that."

Playing time will be an important part of the selection process for Salahudin. "Of course the school, that the academics are good, and just a good school all-around with good coaches." Top Stories
