Napier Recruiting KY ATH for Clemson

Leonard Gordon is a safety prospect from Fort Campbell, KY who currently holds three in-state offers. Who are they from?

"I have offers from Louisville, Kentucky and Western Kentucky. I'm also having a lot of heavy talks with Clemson about them offering," Leonard Gordon said.

Who does he favor right now?

"I'm originally from Florida, so I grew up a Florida State fan. I like all the schools down in Florida and I'm pretty sure I'll visit Kentucky and Louisville. I'd also like to visit Georgia and possibly Clemson as well."

Why does he like those schools?

Florida State: "I've had five cousins go to school there and I grew up watching them. They have great tradition with Bobby Bowden."

Florida: "That's real close to Ocala, FL where my parents are from and I've heard Coach Meyer is a players coach and he's interested in you on and off the field."

Miami: "I don't know too much about them, but it's in Florida and Larry Coker always produces athletes."

Kentucky: "I already have two friends that go up there and they'll both probably start next year. Coach Brooks seems like a great person and a great coach and I feel like he's doing a great job of bringing in quality players. Even though they have never really had a bunch of winning seasons, the fans stick behind the team and always fill the stadium."

Louisville: "Coach Petrino is doing a great job and they really should have beaten Miami. They are a winning program and their recruiting is going great. They'll now have a chance at the Big East Championship every year as well."

Georgia: "I was supposed to move to Albany, so I was looking at Georgia real hard. Coach Richt is doing a great job and they have a shot at the national championship every year."

Clemson: "I like Coach Napier a lot and they're excited about me being a physical safety. The coaches always ask about my family and me. It's not all about football."

What is he looking for most in a school?

"I'm looking at the education first of all. I want to major in either pharmacy or physical therapy. I have a 3.838 GPA and I just took the ACT this past month and got a 20 on it. I'm shooting for a 25 the next time so I'm working at that real hard."

Where will he camp this summer?

"I'm going to Kentucky, Florida State and Clemson. I'm also going to Louisville and Western Kentucky's passing camp."
