The Clemson Tigers baseball team continues a long road trip this weekend when it travels to College Park, Md. to take on ACC foe Maryland.
The Tigers will be on the road in seven of their next nine games, heading to Florida State after this weekend's series against the Terps.
Clemson enters the series at 9-9, and 2-1 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Meanwhile the Terps are 11-11 overall and 3-6 in conference play. Maryland has lost seven of its last nine games overall entering this weekend's series, and also each of its last five conference games.
After taking two of three from No. 9 North Carolina last weekend at Doug Kingsmore Stadium, the Tigers split a pair of games against Old Dominion earlier this week.
Clemson scored just three runs combined in the two games, but managed to win the first game 1-0 behind the strong pitching of freshman David Kopp and Stephen Faris.
Clemson head coach Jack Leggett could eclipse the 900-win plateau for his career this weekend. Leggett, in his 26th year as a head coach, owns a career record of 898-519.
The first pitch tonight is scheduled for 7 PM. Saturday's game also gets underway at 7 PM, and Sunday's game starts at 1 PM.
