Richland Northeast star lineman Adam Patterson is quickly becoming a hot commodity.
After picking up several verbal offers, he now has added a formal scholarship offer from the Georgia Bulldogs.
"It came in the mail yesterday," said Patterson when reached by phone Tuesday afternoon. "Coach Mark Richt said they want me to come to Georgia. They offered me verbally before, so it was good to get this in the mail."
Patterson has also received verbal offers from Maryland, Georgia Tech, and East Carolina. Clemson and South Carolina continue to show heavy interest.
"I may be going to South Carolina's practice later today," said Patterson, who is currently on spring break. "I'm also planning on going to Clemson's practice tomorrow."
Speaking of Clemson, where do the Tigers stand?
"Georgia offering me puts them up there. I think Clemson is close to offering though. I'm supposed to talk to them later today," said the stand out lineman.
Patterson also attended Florida's junior day last weekend.
"It was good down there. It was raining some, but it was nice. I had a good time," added Patterson.
We will continue to keep you updated on this standout lineman, right up through signing day 2006.
