The 6-6, 255 pound prospect stopped by CLemson with his family to see what the Tigers had to offer last weekend. "I thought it was nice. We really liked the facilities. The coaches were very nice. It felt good to get back home," Cumbie told CUTigers.com.

What was the highlight of the visit for the star tight end? "I would say it was how well we bonded with the coaches. My parents and I really bonded with the coaches. They are all good people.

"Some of the defensive coaches were not there because of spring break. We talked with Coach Blackwell, Coach Bowden, Coach Scott and Coach Spence."

The visit to Clemson was definitely a family affair. "My mom, dad, older and younger brothers, my older brothers wife and my grandparents all were there. They all thought it was a nice school. They thought it was really nice."

The talented athlete was impressed with the video of the WestZone. "That is going to be nice. It will be good for me. My first year there we would have the new facilities."

When asked how he would rate the visit on a scale of one to ten, Cumbie responded, "I would probably give it a 9.5. Ten sounds too good for any visit."

How did Jamie enjoy being back in the Palmetto state? "It felt good. It was nice to get down to some warm weather. Right now the wind is blowing about 30 miles hour every day up here," said the Illinois standout.

Cumbie also recently visited took an unofficial visit to Notre Dame. "It is hard to compare the visits because at Notre Dame we didn't get to go inside the facilities. We went around on buses at Notre Dame. Clemson would have the upper hand because we got to walk around and see everything."

The offer list currently stands at five. "Yeah I have offers from Clemson, Illinois, Northwestern, Notre Dame, and Purdue," stated Cumbie. When asked if he has a leader, Cumbie responded, "I would say Clemson is leader. Notre Dame is right there behind them. Clemson and Notre Dame are definitely the leaders."

The Morris Community standout could be just a few months from a commitment. "I am probably going to make a commitment either at the end of May or possibly in the early summer. I would like to get it over with before the season but I'm not really sure."
