Tigers Recruiting Douglass HS Again

Alan Strong is a CB prospect from Douglass High School in Atlanta and the hometown Yellow Jackets have been his favorite school since the very beginning. Are they still out front now?

"I like Georgia Tech, Clemson, Auburn and Indiana. I still like Georgia Tech the best," Alan Strong said.

Why does he like Tech?

"It's close to home, they're a great school and I love Coach Gailey a whole lot."

Why does he list the other three schools above?

Clemson: "I like them a whole lot. James Davis is also going there."

Auburn: "If my cousin Curtis Strong goes there, I'd love to go there. Their cornerback Carlos Rogers is from Georgia and they're a great team."

Indiana: "That was the first school to really start looking at me. I went up there a long time ago in the 8th grade and I liked it."

Who's recruiting him the hardest so far?

"Everybody is recruiting really. I get a lot of stuff from Auburn and Vanderbilt. Then schools like Georgia and Georgia Tech and pretty much the entire ACC and SEC."

Strong had a successful week on the track and field circuit.

"I won all my events yesterday at the Atlanta City track meet. I won the 100m, 200m and the 4x100. I ran a 10.90 100m and a 21.90 200m."

What are his early camp plans?

"I'm camping at Georgia and Georgia Tech. I'm also coming to the Scout.com Combine in Auburn."

The Atlanta standout has set some lofty personal goals.

"Right now I'm trying to prove the point that I'm the #1 cornerback out there. I want to show everyone just how fast I really am."
