2003 Profile: OL Zeb McKinzey

Clemson will continue to look at offensive linemen for the 2003 class, and a name you might as well get familiar with now is Zeb McKinzey. Zeb is another big time prospect from the Peach state that will have everybody beating down his door next February.

Without question, one of the most sought after offensive linemen in the southeast in 2003 will be OL Zeb McKinzey.

McKinzey, a three year starter for Parkview High School in Lilburn, Georgia has helped lead his team to two consecutive AAAAA state championships. He was also named as an all-state performer this past season by the Jacksonville Herald, the Augusta Chronicle, and the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.

McKinzey has good size at 6'3, and weighs in at just over 280 lbs- and don't forget that he's only a junior. He's also got good footwork for a an athlete of his size, and has been consistently blowing people off the ball for the past two years.

Fortunately for the Tigers, Zeb is a teammate of DB Jeff Francouer, one of the top recruits in this year's class. Lets just hope that Jeff speaks his mind on how great the Clemson experience has been for him around signing day next year!

The offensive line will continue to be a focus for the Tigers in 2003, and Zeb McKinzey certainly fits the bill as a top prospect that the Tommy Bowden will be seriously looking at over the summer and next fall.

Zeb has already been hearing from schools like Georgia, Clemson, and Georgia Tech, and its only a matter of time before more big names come calling. We'll keep you updates as we receive more information on this outstanding prospect.
