Hanna DB Visiting Clemson Saturday

Some of the top prospects in South Carolina will be in Death Valley on Saturday to watch the Tigers spring game and T.L. Hanna defensive back Ameer Salahudin will be one of those in attendance. CUTigers.com has the latest in this recruiting update. <BR>

The 5-10, 180 pound prospect already has an offer from several ACC schools including the Tigers. "I don't have any new offers. I am getting a lot of interest from Auburn and Georgia Tech though," Salahudin told CUTigers.com in a recent interview.

The Hanna standout has seen the Tigers practice several times this spring. "I haven't been over there since before spring break, but I will be going to the spring game on Saturday."

When asked if Clemson is the leader, Salahudin responded, "My options are still open. In a way Clemson is still the leader. In a way they are not.

"I really like the coaches at Clemson. I love the stadium. The fans are great. I really like the new stadium upgrades. That will be something that boosts them up a bit."

The prize recruit would like to play with his talented teammate Ben Alexander in college. "We talk a lot about playing together. If he committed to Clemson I probably would go ahead and commit there also," said Salahudin.

The talented defender just returned from a combine. "I just got back from the Scout.com combine at Duke. It went good. There were a lot of good receivers up there that I got to play against."

The summer camp plans are not finalized but the home team will definitely get a visit. "I have plans to go to the Clemson camp. I would like to go to Miami, but I am not sure if I will because of the cost."

Salahudin also says he will wait until next year to commit to the college of his choice. "It won't be too late, but it won't be too early. I want to take all of my visits and meet all of the coaches before I make a decision."

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding cornerback from South Carolina, right up through signing day 2006.
