With Clemson leading Western Carolina 4-2 in the bottom of the fifth inning at Hennon Stadium, the game was halted due to inclement weather and wet field conditions. The Catamounts had Nate Hall on third base and Brandon Zollman on first base with no outs, and Barrett Shaft was at the plate with an 0-1 count when the game was halted. The game, which started at 7:17 PM and was halted at 8:30 PM, will resume from the stopping point at Clemson's Doug Kingsmore Stadium on April 19 at 5:00 PM. The two teams will play again at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on April 19. That regularly-scheduled game will start at 7:15 PM, or will start 30 minutes after the completion of the halted game if it ends after 6:45 PM.
Clemson (18-13) will play host to #4 South Carolina (28-5) Wednesday in its next action. First pitch is scheduled for 7:15 PM. The game will be televised live by Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS). Third-baseman Herman Demmink, who did not make the trip to Cullowhee due to an illness, is listed as questionable for the game.
