Ft. Dorchester High School
North Charleston, South Carolina

The 6-1, 175 pound prospect traveled to Jacksonville, Fla. this weekend for the Scout.com Combine. "I didn't get to the spring game at Clemson this weekend but I went to combine in Jacksonville. It was okay. They had me at a 4.53 in the forty. My coach said they started in late," said Maxwell.

The star defender already has a very impressive offer list and expect it to continue to grow over the next few months. "I have offers from Georgia, Clemson, Duke, Louisville, Virginia Tech, Florida and Notre Dame. I am getting a lot of mail and I'm receiving interest from Oregon and Maryland."

When asked if he has a leader or any favorites, Maxwell responded, "Clemson, Georgia, Florida, Virginia Tech and Duke would be my top five."

Which teams are recruiting the Palmetto standout the hardest? "It would probably be Clemson and Florida," said Maxwell.

The summer camp plans are not clear at this time. "I'm not sure where I will go this summer. I haven't made any plans yet.

"I am running track now. We are getting ready for the regionals. I am running the 100, 200 and the 4 by 100 relay," added the Ft. Dorchester standout.

What will be most important for Maxwell when he decides where to attend college? "I will look at academics first. Then I will look at the location. I want my mom and dad to see me play. I don't want to go more than four or five hours from home. I also will look at the weather. I like the warmer weather," said Maxwell.

A possible verbal commitment could be just a few months away for the Fort Dorchester defender. "I have talked to my mom and dad. I should be ready to make a commitment before the season starts."

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding defensive back from South Carolina, right up through signing day 2006.
