SAT Holding Up Offers for SC Star

South Aiken standout Dekoda Watson will be one of the top linebacker prospects in South Carolina next fall. Which teams are showing interest in the talented defender? CUTigers.com has the latest on Watson in this recruiting update.

The 6-4, 210 pound prospect is eager to take the SAT. "I don't have any offers yet. I haven't taken the SAT yet. I'm going to the test this month. I'm getting a lot of interest from Duke, Clemson, South Carolina, Maryland and several other ACC schools," Watson told CUTigers.com in a recent interview.

The South Carolina standout recently visited Durham to see what the Blue Devils had to offer. "I had a good time. It was pretty nice."

When asked if he has any early favorites, Watson responded, "No, not really. I will be looking at any school that is good school."

Academics will play a major role when Watson decides where to attend college. "I'm looking for a good education. I'm not sure what I want to major in yet. That is one thing that's getting me," said Watson.

Who is recruiting the Palmetto standout the hardest at this time? "Maryland is probably after me the hardest right now."

The summer camps plans are starting to become clearer for Watson. "I am planning to go to Georgia for the Nike camp. I will also probably go to South Carolina. I'm not sure where else I will go."

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding defender from South Carolina, right up through signing day 2006.
