Another Hill Headed to Clemson?

Baldwin High standout Carson Hill, brother of former Tiger Leroy Hill, visited Clemson last weekend for the spring game. Will the talented defensive back follow in his brother's footsteps? CUTigers.com has the latest in this recruiting update. <BR>

The 5-9, 160 pound prospect traveled to Clemson with some of his teammates last Saturday to watch the Orange & White game. "It was pretty fun. I enjoyed it a lot. I came up with my coach, my teammate Maurice Hurt, Coach Hicks and another teammate who is a rising junior," Hill told CUTigers.com.

The Georgia standout enjoyed speaking with the coaching staff during the visit. "I talked with Coach Hines and Coach K while I was up there Saturday. They were talking about how many defensive backs they are looking for this year. Coach Hines said he would be at my spring practice sometime. We start spring practice on May 9," said Hill.

Leroy made a late arrival for the game because of preparations for his future in the NFL. "My brother was in Atlanta training. He did make it up for the end of the game."

Carson says his brother is nervous about the draft. "Yeah he is nervous and just waiting. Some predictions have him going in the second round."

In terms of the recruiting process, when asked if he has any early favorites, Hill responded, "My favorites are in no particular order Florida, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Auburn, Alabama and Vanderbilt."

Hill has also already picked up two offers and the Tigers may be close to offering. "I have offers from Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt. I think Clemson is close to offering. When I came up for the spring game they said they would look at my film this week.

"When I make a decision, I'm going to be looking at location. I want to stay in the southeast. I am also looking for a good football tradition and playing time."

Hill has been to Clemson a lot over the past few years to watch his brother star for the Tigers. "I have been up to Clemson a lot over the past few years to see my brother play. I don't need to take an official visit there but I will. I've seen everything up there."

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding defensive back from Georgia, right up through signing day 2006.
