Tigers Offer DB; Commitment Next?

Crezdon Butler, one of the top athletes in North Carolina, received good news when his coach received a call from Clemson today. When will the prize recruit pull the trigger on a commitment? CUTigers.com has the latest in this recruiting update.

The 6-1, 175 pound prospect picked up an offer from the Tigers today. "I got an offer from Clemson today. They called my coach today to offer. I didn't get to talk to them. They want me to come down for a visit. They said they would give me the written offer in person when I visit," Butler told CUTigers.com Wednesday afternoon.

The North Carolina standout already has accumulated a very impressive offer list. "Right now I have offers from Clemson, North Carolina State, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland and Arkansas," stated Butler.

When asked if he has a leader, Butler responded, "Right now I like Clemson. They are good in my major and they have a good football program."

"I haven't been to Clemson this year. I did go down last year for spring practice. I plan to go down there this summer for a visit," added Butler.

Coach Napier is recruiting the Asheville standout for the Tigers. "They are recruiting me either for a cover corner or a safety."

When asked when school is recruiting the star defensive back the hardest right now? "That would be North Carolina."

A commitment could be just a few months away for the talented defender. "I will probably commit this summer. I want to get the pressure off for next season."

What will Butler consider when deciding where to attend college? "I will look at academics first and then football. I will look to see if they need me to come in and play."

Butler says he would like to major in either architecture or engineering.
