Asheville RB Likely to Camp at CU

The Clemson Tigers are one of the teams showing early interest in Asheville star running back Johnny White. Would landing teammate Crezdon Butler give the Tigers an advantage for the blue-chip prospect? has the latest in this recruiting update.

The 5-10, 190 pound running back prospect has picked up three offers, but expect that list to grow more over the summer. "I have offers from North Carolina, South Carolina and Arkansas right now. I'm getting interest from Clemson, Virginia, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Auburn and Tennessee," White told

When asked if he has any favorites, White responded, "No, I'm open to everybody right now." The summer camp plans are not clear at this time, but a visit to Tiger Town looks likely. "I haven't made any camp plans yet. But I probably will go down to Clemson. I went down to Clemson for camp last summer. It was nice."

The Tigers have offered and lead for his talented teammate Crezdon Butler. And of course, White would like to play with his Asheville High teammate on the next level. "Yes, we would like to play together. We talk about that all the time," White said.

Don't expect an early commitment from the prize recruit. "It really depends on who is talking to me. I might commit early, but I probably will not," stated White.

Coach Napier is recruiting the talented running back for the Tigers. "He seems pretty cool. I want to find somewhere where I can get some early playing time," added the Asheville running back.
