Chancellor Finishing Up Academics

Clemson signee CB Demerick Chancellor checks in with CUTigers.com.

6-1, 185 pound Clemson signee Demerick Chancellor will be traveling to Tiger Town in just over two months. "Yeah I am planning to come down on July 7 for the second summer session. My brother will be coming then also," Chancellor told CUTigers.com in a recent interview.

The Chancellor family is looking forward to seeing both Demerick and Chris play in the Valley. "My family is real glad we are going to the same school. That way they will only have one place to come to see us both play."

What about qualifying? Does Demerick have anything to worry about? "Everything is all right. I just got to wait on the last test score. I am waiting on the ACT. I focused on the English part this pst time. I had a 16. My GPA is fine though," said Chancelor.

"I took the my last test in April. I should probably hear in a few weeks."

The Florida standout has also been working hard to gain some weight over the past few weeks. "I am working hard in the weight room. I have gained about five pounds. I'm up to about 201 right now. I was running track but I've slowed down with that because I don't want to start losing weight."

What is the talented athlete looking forward to the most about his Clemson experience? "I am just looking forward to playing right away. Hopefully I will get a chance to play early. I will either play running back or defensive back," said Chancellor.

The Clemson coaching staff is keeping in touch with the prize recruit. "I talk a lot with Coach Blackwell and Coach Burns," added Chancellor.

We will continue to keep you updated on this future Tiger, right up through the first day of practice in August.
