Hines Visits Milledgeville

Coach Jack Hines visited Milledgeville High to check on standout defensive back Carson Hill and his talented teammate Maurice Hurt recently. Have the Tigers offered the talented DB? CUTigers.com has the latest on Leroy's brother in this recruiting update.

The 5-9, 165 pound prospect has a couple of offers already in the bag, but that short list will likely grow over the course of the next few months. "Right now I have offers from Southern Mississippi and Georgia Tech. Clemson, Auburn and Florida are all showing interest. I'm getting a lot of mail from Tennessee and I am also hearing from Louisville and Alabama," Hill told CUTigers.com in a recent interview.

Clemson has not yet offered, but the Tigers continue to show strong interest. "I haven't heard anything yet from Clemson about an offer just yet. I guess they are still reviewing my film. But I am still getting a lot of mail from them. Coach Hines came by the school during spring practice to visit with my coaches," said Hill.

The Tigers were not the only visitors to Milledgeville High over the past few weeks. "Florida also came by school. LSU came by as well," added Hill.

The Georgia standout plans to visit several schools this summer. "I know I will camp at Georgia Tech and probably Auburn. I might try to get up to Clemson. I want the schools with the one-day senior camp, but I may see if I can go to 1 day of the 3 day camp at Clemson," said Hill.

When asked if he has any favorites at this time, Hill responded, "I have a top seven. Florida, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Louisville and Southern Mississippi are my top seven, not in any particular order."

Hill plans to wait until next fall to decide where he will attend college. "I will wait until October or November to make a decision. I don't want to commit too early. Then I will sit down and talk and evaluate everything."

His older brother Leroy is enjoying his time in Seattle. "Yeah he is Seattle practicing. He says it's nice out there. He says the weather is nice so far. We are going to go down to Jacksonville to see him play. We will probably also fly out there for a game. They play the Falcons and the Panthers out there," Hill said.

What does the former Tiger All-American tell Carson about the recruiting process? "He just tells me he doesn't care if I go to Clemson. He wants me to make my own decision. He told me not to jump to a school. He said to take my time and checkout the academics and playing time. I already knew that, but he is just helping out."
