An 18-year-old Anderson man was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with the May 1 shooting of Clemson defensive tackle Cory Groover.
Richard Terrell Hailey, of 126 Brown Street, was arrested and then transported to the Clemson City Police Department, Clemson police said.
Hailey is charged with assault and battery with intent to kill, with more charges possibly coming, Clemson police said.
Hailey is accused of shooting into a crowd outside the Waffle House restaurant in Clemson around 1:30 AM.
Groover, 22, was shot in the leg, where the bullet still remains.
