Tigers Offer Fla CB

The Clemson Tigers have offered Saint Augustine blue-chip cornerback Jacques Rickerson. Who joins the Tigers on the list of favorites for the talented athlete? CUTigers.com has the latest in this recruiting update.

The 5-10, 180 pound prospect was offered by Clemson the prize recruit earlier this week. "Yes, I got an offer from Clemson two days ago. I was talking with Coach Dabo Swinney and he offered. He said that I was one of the top prospects at the position that they were recruiting. He said he liked my size and speed," Rickerson told CUTigers.com.

The Tigers join a very impressive offer list for the star defensive back. "Right now I have over 15 offers. Clemson and Georgia are some of the latest to offer." Other offers for Rickerson include Florida, Penn State, Maryland, Illinois and Mississippi.

When asked if he has any favorites, Rickerson responded, "Florida, Penn State, Auburn, Tennessee, Georgia, Clemson, Georgia Tech and Wake Forest are my favorites. I will probably narrow the list down in September."

What will Rickerson consider when deciding where to play at the next level? "I will first look at the depth chart. I will also look to see what the surrounding cities have to offer as far as entertainment. I will look at the campus. I will also look to see if they have my major. I would like to major in Computer Engineering," said the Florida native.

Two SEC powers will get a chance to impress Rickerson this summer. "I am going to camp at Florida and Georgia for sure. I'm not sure if I will go anywhere else or not."
