Tigers Lead for Alabama Safety

Justin Bullard, from Stanhope Elmore High School, is one of the best safety prospects in the state of Alabama. Bullard is fresh off a visit to Clemson, and he is hoping for big offers this summer.

"I returned home from Clemson today (Thursday)," said Justin Bullard. "I was able to see the campus, and check out the facilities. I met with all the coaches. They are meeting tomorrow to talk about offering me. I think they will offer this summer when I attend their camp."

Bullard felt good about his visit to Clemson. "Clemson is my favorite right now," he said. There is nothing I don't like about them. The campus is beautiful, and they have a few spots open at safety. I would pick a school like Clemson over a Florida State or Miami. Those schools are always loaded with defensive backs. It would be great to have the chance to play early."

Currently, the other four schools in Bullard's top five include Auburn, Alabama, Southern Miss, and Vanderbilt.

"I haven't heard a lot from Auburn, but when I was down at the Scout.com combine, I got a really good feel down there," Bullard said. "I have been wondering how Alabama will react towards me since they received a commitment from Andy Davis. I don't know if they are going to take anymore safeties this year. I would really like to speak with Coach Ball. I would never turn down Alabama, but I am curious if they have a spot left for me. I have heard they are slow to getting around to the in-state guys because in-state guys tend to commit early."

During spring training, several coaches made an appearance to see Bullard in action. "We had a lot of coaches come by during the spring," he said. We had coaches from Memphis, LSU, Mississippi State, Middle Tennessee State, Clemson , Southern Miss, and there were a few more. I received phone calls from Clemson and Southern Miss."

Bullard plans to camp at Vanderbilt, Clemson, Southern Miss, Alabama, Auburn, and the Fellowship Camp in Atlanta.
