Several in-state schools and a couple of ACC schools are hard after Gaffney linebacker Julius Wilkerson. "Clemson, South Carolina, Virginia Tech and North Carolina State are all recruiting me hard right now," stated Wilkerson in a recent interview with CUTigers.com.
"I don't have any new offers right now. I'm not sure if any of the schools are close to offering or not."
When asked if he has any leaders at this time, Wilkerson responded, "No, I don't have any leaders right now. I don't have a top three or top five."
The South Carolina standout will be staying in Gaffney this summer. "I don't plan to go on any camps this summer. I'm just going to workout this summer"
Wilkerson will be working hard this summer to prepare for his final season at Gaffney Senior High. "I am lifting weights and running a lot. I want to get my speed up this summer and work on that some."
The Gaffney standout plans to finish his senior season before finalizing his college plans. "I want to wait until the end of next year. I want to play the season first," added Wilkerson.
We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding linebacker from South Carolina, right up through signing day.
