NC OL Will Visit Clemson

Pierre Andrews is a good looking offensive line prospect from North Carolina that will be working this summer to get some colleges off the fence that are on the brink of offering him. He just returned from one such camp recently.

"I went to South Carolina's camp," said Andrews. "I had a lot of fun there. I worked with the offensive line coach, and the defensive line coach asked me if I was playing any defense. I told him I'd play defense this year. I'm going to play both sides of the ball."

South Carolina was Andrews' first summer camp, but it won't be his last.

We just got out of school, so that's the only camp I've gone to so far. I'm also going to Tennessee on Saturday. I'm going to Virginia Tech on July 9th. I'm also going to Clemson. They wanted me to come in on an unofficial visit. I'm going to Virginia for camp too."

Andrews has Division I potential, but the offers have been slow to come. Andrews is content to be patient and work hard this summer and fall.

"LSU is still my only offer. I've talked with Mohamed (Georgia Signee Mohamed Massaquoi) a lot about it, and he said a lot of offers come during the summer. I'm going to go to all of those camps and work to show them what I can do. I'm just going to work hard and do my best to get better."

Andrews' Independence team is one of the best teams in the country, and he is looking forward to assuming a leadership role.

"I'm a senior now, so this is my team. I'm ready to help lead us."

A solid interior line prospect, Andrews will have multiple offers before all is said and done. Top Stories
