Tigers Close to Offering?

One prospect from Alabama who has been flying under the radar is Anthony Davis from Carver High School in Montgomery.

Davis, a standout at the Scout.com combine, has several offers, and he is wide open with his recruitment.

"I have received offers from West Virginia, LSU, UAB, and Memphis. I feel like Southern Miss, Auburn, and Clemson are really close to offering me," said Anthony Davis.

Davis was considered a sleeper prospect until his performance at the LSU camp. His athletic ability at the camp earned him a scholarship offer from the Tigers.

"I went to the LSU camp, and it was a lot of fun," Davis said. "I worked out with the safeties. I did really good. I ended up winning the overall MVP of the camp. I attended the Memphis camp and the Elite 11 camp also."

The 6-0 195-pound athlete isn't naming favorites, but he does like the in-state schools.

"I don't have any favorites right now," he said. "I grew up an Alabama fan. I like both Alabama and Auburn."

After passing for over 950 yards and rushing for over 600 yards during his junior campaign, Davis is being recruited to play safety on the next level. He knows his strengths help him on the offensive side of the ball, but on defense as well.

"I am a player who takes control of the game. I will always put the team on my back. There are still a few things I need to work on. I need to work on standing in the pocket more and being more patient. I am continuing to work on getting stronger and faster," said Davis.
