McDaniel Set with Six

DeAndre McDaniel is one of the top defensive backs on the board this year for the Tigers. Which schools comprise his top six entering the heart of summer? has the answers in this recruiting update.

The 6-1, 180 pound prospect recently returned from a visit to the hometown power. "I have only been to Florida State this summer. I went last Wednesday. It went pretty good," McDaniel told

"I'm not sure if I will go anywhere else. I probably will not go anywhere else now."

When asked if he has a leader or any favorites, McDaniel responded, "I don't know. I have a top six right now. Clemson, Florida State, Maryland, Louisville, Auburn and Georgia would be my favorites. West Virginia is up there also. I have offers from all of them."

The talented athlete will probably narrow the list of favorites over the next month or two. "I will probably narrow it down some more at the beginning of the season. I am not sure when I will make a commitment though. I will most likely wait until after my senior season."

Coach Swinney continues to work hard to see if he can convince the four-star prospect to sign with the Tigers next February. "I called him the other day. He wasn't there. I am still getting lots of mail from Clemson and he is telling me they are going to keep after me hard."

Who is recruiting the Sunshine standout the hardest? "Clemson and Iowa are right now."
