The beat goes on for Asher Allen of Tucker High School. He keeps racking up scholarship offers, and his top two remain the same. Could that change with his third unofficial visit this weekend?
"I'm up to about 50 offers right now," said Asher Allen. "I've gotten offers from teams like Georgia, Georgia Tech, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Clemson, Tennessee, and South Carolina."
Allen has been on two unofficial visits and has another scheduled this weekend.
"I've been to 7v7 camps at Georgia and Furman with my teammates. Our coach frowns on individual camps. Me and Morrice (cousin Morrice Richardson) are going to Florida on Saturday for an unofficial visit. I really want to see the coaches and get a tour of the facilities. Right now if I had to name favorites, I would say Georgia and LSU. Those are the only two schools I have visited unofficially so far."
Allen hasn't been calling his recruiters this summer, but that hasn't stopped them from getting in touch with him.
"I haven't called any coaches, but they've been text messaging me a lot. They want to know how things are going, if I'm working hard; basic general info."
While Allen has offers from Coast to Coast, don't expect him to get too far away from the South.
"I'm basically just looking at schools in the ACC or SEC. I don't want to go too far from home."
With offers from virtually every school close to home, Allen won't have to.
