One of the nation's top offensive linemen, Ohio native Lee Tilley, made his way to Clemson today to take an unofficial tour of the campus and also talk with the Clemson coaching staff.

Tilley's southeastern tour, which has already included stops at Florida and Georgia, will also include a stop at Virginia Tech in the coming days.

Tilley spoke with CUTigers.com about his visit earlier this afternoon.

"I had a chance to talk to a lot of the students around campus and the thing that struck me was that everybody was real friendly," he said. "Even some of the players I met were like that. It was a real hometown atmosphere. It's a great campus....it's just nice. I got to see the stadium; they are upgrading a doing a bunch of things. I got to watch the team go through different workouts some."

Tilley also came away impressed with the coaching staff.

"I couldn't believe how organized they were. I met with Coach Scott and he pretty much put everything out there. At first, I was kind of like, yeah this was the usual stuff, then I met the people, the academic advisors and everybody else. I couldn't believe everything that goes on. Everything they do is so upscale."

Tilley, who is already planning official visits to Oklahoma and Arizona State, says that he's not ready to name any favorites, not any more official visit dates, despite having visited three schools in less than a week.

"Basically what I'm going to do now is go home and sleep on it. I know I'm going to visit Oklahoma and Arizona State," he said. "I'm going to see them because they are on the other side of the country. Outside of that, I need to go home and sleep on it."

What is Tilley looking for in a college?

"I want to play early," he said. "I want to come in, work hard and get my spot. Then work hard to keep it. That's big for me," he added.

When asked if there was anything else that stood out about his visit, Tilley responded, "Just that campus. Everything is so beautiful and green. That really stood out to me."
