2003 Profile: LB Justin Durant

Justin Durant is a linebacker prospect from Wilson High School in Florence, South Carolina. His older brother is former UNC QB Darian Durant.

A player from the Palmetto State you will be hearing a lot about is Justin Durant (6-1, 225, 4.75). He is the younger brother of Darian Durant, the former North Carolina quarterback. Justin plays middle linebacker. "I think I can be around the ball at all times making tackles," said Durant. "If not, I will be helping out in some ways. I hope to play middle linebacker at the next level as well."

At this time, Durant is leaning heavily to one school in-state, South Carolina. "I have been a fan for a while and I am looking forward to camping there this summer. I really want to go to South Carolina and if they offer me a scholarship, I will commit to them."

If it does not work out with the Gamecocks, Durant also is looking at Clemson, East Carolina and Auburn. And he will have his big brother's help in the recruiting process. "He has always been there for me. Darian has made me a better player too. We watch film and he tells me what to work on."
