Rumors are already surrounding the top recruit in the southeast, RB Demetrius Summers out Lexington High School. Early on his offer list includes South Carolina, Clemson, Southern Cal, and Tennessee. Speculation is that he will likely add many more in coming weeks as more schools get see him in action either on film, or live during the May evaluation period.

Brad Scott has been the main point of contact for Clemson in the recruitment of Summers. The Tigers were the first to offer the all-state running back when he was only a sophomore.

Florida State, South Carolina, and Clemson are up there early with Summers, but there is an awfully long way to go before he publically releases his favorite schools.

Summers finished second in the state in rushing last season, trailing only Clemson signee Reggie Merriweather in total yards. He'll likely break the state career rushing record in his first game for the Wildcats this fall. Through three seasons, he has rushed for over 6,700 yards and more than 100 touchdowns- truly incredible.

Good news on the offensive line front, as the Tigers appear to be the favorite for Parkview's Zeb McKinzey. McKinzey, an all-state performer last season has Clemson, Auburn, and Georgia as his top schools. He'll also camp in TigerTown this summer. Projects as a guard. Devastating run blocker. McKinzey is a quality pass protector and graded out at 87.5% last season.

The Tigers have already given him a verbal scholarship offer, and Zeb might make his decision as early as this summer. He has already taken unofficial visits to all of his favorites.

"Zeb is as strong as a house, he can bench press 415 pounds and he power cleans 315. " says Parkview head coach Cecil Flowe.

In other news along the offensive line, the Tigers have been making a strong push for B.W. Yates, a bruising offensive tackle out Stratford High School in Goose Creek, South Carolina. Yates has been hearing from the Tigers and will make the trip up to Clemson this weekend for the spring game. At 6'4, 287, I think I speak for all Clemson fans when I say I sure am glad he's coming.

We should have a detailed report on B.W. Yates very soon, but his current favorites include Clemson, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, and Florida.

Also, keep an eye on S Ronnie Borquin, another quality prospect looking at the Tigers out of the great state of Ohio. Borquin is looking at Clemson, along with Penn State, Illinois, Cincinnati, and Ohio State.

We'll continue to provide you with the latest on information on these athletes throughout the spring and summer. Top Stories
