Fla ATH Will Visit Clemson

This two-stand out has already planned one official visit to Nebraska.

Clemson is one of the favorites for Florida standout Quinton Hancock as he prepares for his senior season and his official visits. The 6-2, 185 pound prospect, who plays both ways for Saint Augustine, recently named six top schools.

"I have a top six," he told CUTigers.com in a recent interview. "Auburn, Nebraska, Clemson, Iowa, Florida and Maryland are my favorites right now.

"I have one visit scheduled for September 10 and that will be to Nebraska."

The Tigers will get one of his other visits, but the timing is not known at this time. "Right now, I know that I will go to Auburn and Clemson for sure. I don't know of the rest yet," said Hancock.

Clemson wide receivers coach Dabo Swinney is recruiting the two-way star for Clemson. "Coach Swinney is recruiting me. He is a good coach. I talked with him back in May and he has been sending a lot of mail since then," he said.

What will be important to the prize recruit when he decides where he will attend college? "I want to go where I feel most comfortable on my visits. I am also looking for early playing time," he said.

"We started practice last week. We have a jamboree this week and our first game next week. I am going to play both ways this year. I will play safety on defense." Hancock prefers to play offense at the next level.

Last year, he finished his junior season (12-1) with 30 receptions for 410 yards and four scores. While playing in the secondary, Hancock reports 50 tackles and four interceptions.

Hancock says that both Auburn and Florida and recruiting him the hardest at this point in the recruiting process. "I went to Florida for camp this summer. I also went to Auburn, but I didn't participate," he added.
