CUTigers.com checked in with wide receiver prospect Xavier Harris Thursday evening to get the latest on his recruitment, and his upcoming season senior season.

"We were supposed to have our first game on Friday, but it has been postponed until Monday because of Hurricane Katrina. It's so-so here right now. We didn't have school on Thursday and we won't have it Friday," Harris said.

When asked who the current favorites are in the recruiting process, Harris responded, "I am really just trying to wait until my season is over. I'm trying to focus on my season right now."

The Clemson coaching staff is making sure that Harris knows they would like to see him running down the hill next fall. "The last thing they told me was that they just wanted me to come to Clemson," he said.

"I want to go to the Clemson game against Miami. I am hoping to come up with my coach who went to Clemson. "I will also probably catch some more Miami games this fall. I would like to go some other places, but it will be hard because of my games."

Where would Harris take his official visits if he had to take them today? "I would visit Clemson, Auburn and probably Georgia," he said.

How are things shaping up for the start of his senior season?

"Practice is going good so far," Harris said. "I am going to try to play both ways some this season, but mainly just receiver. I will also play some safety."
